I purchased a refrigerator from XXXX. The first few refrigerators did not fit. Three refrigerators had to be returned. I did subsequently find one that did fit in the cut out for the refrigerator in my kitchen. Between XXXX and Synchrony Bank, they continued to charge me for three refrigerators, although only kept one. Every month, when we spoke over the phone when they would call, I would repeat the story to them to try and get this fixed. When I initially made this purchase, it was with no interest if it was paid off with a XXXX number of months. Due to their error, it was not paid off within that timeframe because of the issues they created with my account. This took place over the course of three years. Each month that they would call I repeated the story over and over and over and over again. I even emailed the corporate office, even that didnt help. Synchrony Bank even advised me, in writing not to make payments while the investigation was going on. Synchrony Bank also advised me that it would not be reported to the credit bureau as a negative item or late payment. We finally ended up entering into an agreement to settle account and pay it off for the one refrigerator. However, they did report it to the credit bureau as XXXX and XXXX days late, and now theyre reporting it a charge off on my credit report which is dropping my score. My credit has always been excellent. I even tried disputing it with the credit bureau, XXXX, but that dispute was denied.
