I am filing a complaint against Chase Bank for failing to honor fraud protections on my credit card account. Before making a large purchase I called the number on my Chase card and asked to speak with the fraud department. I explained that I was considering a large transaction and was told directly that if I purchased a service and did not receive what I paid for the charge would be covered and refunded under Chase fraud protections. Based on that assurance I moved forward. I made XXXX payments totaling XXXX to a company called XXXX. The company promised rental rights to XXXX properties for use in an XXXX business. After partial onboarding they stopped all communication and blocked me from contacting them. No service was provided. I disputed all three charges. XXXX payment through XXXX Credit was refunded. XXXX payment of XXXX on another Chase card was refunded. The third payment of XXXX on this Chase account was denied even though it was to the same merchant for the same service that was never provided. I have spent months calling and emailing Chase with no resolution. Instead Chase has charged me hundreds of dollars in interest on a fraudulent charge. Both XXXX and Chase already acknowledged the merchant was fraudulent in the other disputes. There is no valid reason this XXXX charge should remain. I am requesting that Chase refund the XXXX charge and remove all related interest and fees. I trusted the assurances given to me by Chase before making this purchase. Chase has failed to uphold those assurances and has treated identical disputes inconsistently. All documents available were uploaded with the original complaint. Weathway doesnt actually exist. I sent a refund demand letter, it was returned as no such resident. It was a total scam
