Consumer Narrative
in XX/XX/year>, I was denied a XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX through Chase bank through my Chase bank mobile app. I called when I received this letter asking them to give me a further explanation and both reps of Chase bank told me it was due to their XXXX. I had never heard of this I asked for an explanation of what this was. They said it was their rule I said where was that on the application found as an offer on my Chase bank mobile app they said they do not advertise it. I ask why not they said they didn't have to I said I have never heard of it in my 65 years of living in the United States of America. The representative said well if XXXX XXXX it, it'll explain it to me and I asked her no explain it to me. I'm at Chase bank XXXX. She said she was not allowed to do that. I'm sure the calls were recorded so I know other options but you ask for a reconsider if she said now the letter stated I open too many credit cards in the last 24 months but I am attaching my equifax credit information and XXXX were open in XXXX months and XXXX was a Chase XXXX card I have my Social Security being direct deposited into Chase bank which I have already changed and I plan on canceling all of my accounts and banking with Chase bank. My credit score is excellent as I have attached from all three Credit recording companies equifax XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX will document I do not have a mortgage because I paid cash for my house. I do not have any installment loan as the equifax evidence shows and my credit is excellent, but I was denied due to a non-published so-called secret rule that only Chase bank has that I had known this. I wouldn't of taken XXXX of the XXXX offers that are in my banking Chase bank logo app. They denied me a XXXX XXXX offer card. I wanted to get for the travel miles to see my daughter once a year in Maine. So the offer was in my Chase banking mobile app. I have excellent credit. I do not have a mortgage payment they have my direct deposit of my Social Security and Chase bank has my linked to my savings from XXXX XXXX XXXX of XXXX grand. I have no outstanding bills but yet I was denied a credit card due to a XXXX rule that only Chase bank seems to have that I wan na appeal to the CFPB to make Chase bank clearly state that in a customers banking app that if you apply for any of these credit cards are secret XXXX rule is in effect and boldly put that in the details in terms of every offer that is offered a Chase bank customer in their mobile app. I am appealing to the CFPB to penalize Chase bank for this due to. It is not a fair business practice not in my case getting a credit card based on your credit and how you've conducted your life journey.
