Consumer Narrative

I filed a complaint here on CFPB three times requesting a payment history, so I can see how payments were applied to my account. The responses have said I was delinquent on my account in XX/XX/XXXX, however, I have evidence from the IRS that my XXXX income tax refund was garnished by AAFES in the amount of {$3200.00} via an XXXX dated XX/XX/XXXX with a XXXX trace number XXXX, directed to : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ATTN : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, TX XXXX XXXX AAFES has failed to apply these funds correctly to my account, which has effectively caused me to pay the same debt twice. And I am still receiving statements showing a balance due. This is a fraudulent request to collect money that has already been paid for stated debt. If I am able to show proof of payment, this company owes me back the additional money taken to collect a debt that has already been satisfied. XXXX XXXX, a representative for XXXX called to collect the same debt on XX/XX/XXXX ( which should be a copy of the recorded call in your files ). The total negotiated amount of {$3600.00} was said to satisfy both the XXXX XXXX and Take It Home credit cards in full. What happened to the XXXX that was taken in XX/XX/XXXX? How was that applied on my account? The agreement was an initial payment of {$200.00} and subsequent payments of {$100.00} directly debited on the last day of the month and the XXXX from my XXXX card ending in XXXX. I have proof that I made payments in the amount of {$3700.00} made to XXXX between XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX, which to my surprise, was to satisfy the same debt. Instead of properly crediting the garnished funds and my negotiated payments, interest has continued to accrue on what is clearly a fully satisfied debt. Additionally, XXXX response to a prior Consumer Financial Protection Bureau ( CFPB ) complaint falsely claimed that I did not uphold my arrangements therefore my account was in collections in XX/XX/XXXX. Why was there a debt when they already garnished my taxes? Why am I not receiving the info i have been requesting regarding how payment was applied and proof debt was satisfied? The only documentation submitted is a screen print showing interest accruing, but does not show how payments were allocated.
