To Whom It May Concern : I am filing a complaint regarding Chase Banks decision to close my checking account and all of my credit card accounts without providing me with a clear or specific reason. I have been a loyal Chase customer for over 10 years, maintaining both deposit and credit accounts in good standing. Recently, I received a notice from Chase stating that my checking account and all my credit card accounts will be closed. However, the notice did not explain the reason for this decision, nor did Chase provide any clarification upon my inquiry. In addition to the lack of transparency, Chase has refused my request to reverse the annual fees charged on my credit cards, despite the accounts being forcibly closed shortly after these charges were billed : Credit card ending in XXXX {$550.00} annual fee and {$75.00} authorized user fee, billed in XX/XX/year>. Credit card ending in XXXX {$95.00} annual fee, billed in XX/XX/year>. I believe it is unreasonable and unfair to retain these annual fees when the accounts will no longer be usable for the period they were intended to cover. I respectfully request the following : That Chase reconsider and allow me to keep my accounts open, given my long-standing and responsible relationship with the bank. If account closure is unavoidable, that Chase issue a full refund of all annual fees recently charged to my closed accounts. I am requesting the CFPBs assistance in obtaining a clear explanation from Chase regarding the reasons for the closures, and in ensuring fair treatment in connection with the annual fees. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.
