Consumer Narrative
I called XXXX XXXX XXXX to make a payment towards the settlement that I made for Citi XXXX XX/XX/XXXX. The first representative that I spoke with said that she specifically has called me multiple times to tell me that I have the month of XXXX and XXXX past due, and I never returned any of her calls. I asked her what number she called she gave my daughters phone number Not mine and she said that they never sent any return information but just called and left a voicemail I asked them why they did not send any return information. She did not answer. She said my contract has already expired and my account is charged off. I asked to speak with the manager and I recorded the call with the first representative and with the manager where I explained that the bank account belonged to my daughter, not mine and I dont have enough money to pay them so my daughter was paying and her checking account was close. Thats why their check bounced back and I didnt even know about the month of XXXX. I just called to make a payment for the month of XXXX right after that call within the next 24 hours. Ive received a letter saying that you are past due by XXXX they were trying to make it right because I pointed out the fact that I did not receive any type of communication whatsoever saying that my checks from my daughters account have bounced. I am filing this complaint because I am on Social Security. I agreed to pay a debt even though Im judgment proof and I do not have any type of income and I try to make a payment in good faith, but the XXXX XXXX XXXX in bad faith is trying to just discharge the account and disregard the payment that Ive already made for the past 6/7 months for XXXX and to start over so that they could charge me again as if I never paid them and I can not afford that so for the lack of proper communication and for the fact that I never waved my right to mail and physical documentation I need you guys to hold them accountable for charging off an account an account without giving me proper notice that it was bounced and I need my contract towards which Ive already paid XX/XX/XXXXto be reinstated. This is unfair and Im XXXX percent sure that the representative that said that she called me personally was lying I did not have any messages from them, and my daughter did not have any voicemails whatsoever from them. I have recorded the whole conversation with the company as proof.
