I sent a letter XX/XX/year> requesting the closure of my account. US bank called me from a strange seemingly non existent number asking for more information to close my account. Their website CLEARLY states what is needed to close an account ( see link ) and I provided everything required. XXXX XXXX XXXX Website reads : " In writing You can also send a written request. It needs to include your full account number, a message saying you want that account closed, and your signature. Mail to : U.S. Bank XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Some accounts may not be able to be closed by phone. You may need to visit a branch location or submit your request in writing. '' They left voicemails telling me they need me to call back in to read me some disclosures. I just want them to close my account. I can not reach the person who called. They gave me the employee id and case number as follows : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX When I call it sends me to the voicemail of a different employee and they are non reachable. I DO NOT WANT TO CONTINUE TO PAY MONTHLY FEES since I already did everything required of me on their website. I provided my name, full account number, explanation of needing the account closed immediately and a signature with date.
