On Friday XX/XX/XXXX I called XXXX to close my bank account with Bank of America and spoke to XXXX. I asked to close one of my BofA checking accounts and transfer the funds to my other bank of america account. XXXX said she was transferring the funds and then closing the account. She got back on the phone to explain it was completed. As I logged into into online banking to verify it had been done, XXXX hung up on me. Online I could see that the account had been closed, it was no longer available online, but the funds had dissapeared. the {$2000.00} had not been transferred to my other checking account. I had to call back and spoke to XXXX. Who said she could not transfer the funds. She said she had to send a request to ad " department '' that would take 3 business days for them to review the request to re-open the account. On XX/XX/XXXX I had to leave the country, as I had explained to both XXXX and XXXX, to be with my mom in the hospital. XXXX told me I could call XXXX while overseas, to talk to BofA ( mind you this is paid a international phone call to resolve and issue that was created by BofA ) I called the number on XX/XX/XXXX to find out why the money was not yet in my account.I spoke to XXXX, who transferred me to XXXX XXXX in sales ). XXXX told me that the money would be in my account on XX/XX/XXXX. She also told me someone called me from BofA Arizona and to return their call so they could confirm the request to re-open the account and transfer the funds. i did call on XX/XX/XXXX and many other times. As of XX/XX/XXXX I have called the arizona number 5 times and they have not returned my callXXXX It has been over 2 weeks and Bank of America has not given me my money. had it been the other way around, they would have charged me overdraft fees and etc. I need my money back and they need to pay me for my international phone call and for holding on to my money. I was going to stay a customer but I will close my other account as soon as they deposit my money in there. I am in the middle of a family XXXX and have no energy to be dealing with the mismanagement of my money. Bank of America is horrible, they stole my money and will not help me!
