I walked in to a KeyBank branch in XXXX XXXX XXXX today XX/XX/year> to open up a business line of credit from XXXX. I felt discriminated against from the XXXX XXXXXXXX manager/hes the business XXXX. he didnt look me in my face on my XXXX told me to sit down. I commented how you doing, sir, and extended my hand for him to shake my head. I sat down. He asked me how much funding that I need. I was sending my portfolio to him and stated if you take a look at my portfolio, you will see exactly why my hair at what I need. He didnt even look through my portfolio. I felt very disrespected because he scammed do it like it was a kids book he saw how much funding that I needed {$270000.00}. He stated well do you have money to put in for his business as stated if I have money to put in for this business I wouldnt be coming here to look for XXXX startup loan he stated they dont give 100 % business funding out that I will have to put some of my money into it. I said why is that that dont make sense he stated because he want to see how committed that we all and our self to put our own money into our business. I said so that dont make no sense. Why would I need a start up loan for me to put money into the business? Did my research and KeyBank gives up to {$500000.00} finish line of credit Im only asking for XXXX so why would I have to put money into the start up loan that Im looking for? He stated because some people is not that committed because what if you come ask for the loan we give it to you and youre not that committed of doing what you stated that youre gon na do and you go use that money for something else I said, sir why would I do that if I wanted to do something else I will get a proposal and ask for funding for something else that I would wan na do. He was being very judgmental discriminating against me for my appearance. Didnt give me a chance then ask me nothing about myself. I didnt even get a chance to fill out an application I said, sir you didnt even go through my proposal. He said because you have to leave it with me and I take it home to review it. I stated thats not true. Why would I give you my proposal for you to take it home youre supposed to read it now. Have me fill out this application because you dont make the decision the underwriters make the decision based my credit history I said if you wouldve talked to me to get to know me, you wouldve sit there and ask me hows my credit you dont ask me nothing he didnt ask me nothing about myself. He didnt ask me nothing about the business that Im trying to open if he wouldve read over through my proposal, what I stated to him, you will see that this is a great idea specially for this area. I gave him XXXX years of prediction revenue. I gave my portfolio to a banker my banker and he said it was great. I talked to a banker that was in KeyBank after I talk to the bank XXXX for XXXX minutes, and he also agreed with me that I was discriminated against and mistreated he apologize to me for that. He also gave me a number for a lady named XXXX to make a complaint I feel very much violated I was not given a fair chance cause my idea is great for this community for any community in any state because I did research on it. It took me a long long time to build my business credit up my personal credit app just for this time of my life and to feel the way I feel I feel very very much violated. I wan na just give up if Im gon na go through this Id rather just give up and not even try!
