I am writing to formally dispute inaccurate and damaging information being reported on my credit file by Chase Auto Finance ( JPMorgan Chase ). During the XXXX pandemic, I voluntarily surrendered my vehicle to Chase Auto Finance after speaking with a representative who assured me that as long as the vehicle could be resold, I would not be held financially responsible for any remaining balance or fees. Based on this verbal agreement and the financial hardship I was facing at the time, I complied and turned in the vehicle in good faith. However, more than XXXX years later, Chase continues to report an outstanding balance of approximately {$9600.00} as a monthly car note payment, which is inaccurate and misleading. This entry appears as a recurring negative account and has severely impacted my ability to obtain reliable transportation, secure housing, and live a stable life. This ongoing reporting does not reflect the agreement made at the time of surrender and is an inaccurate representation of my financial behavior.
