Follow-up to CFPB Complaint Inaccurate Debt and Incomplete Validation Dear CFPB Representative, Thank you for the update regarding my complaint. I am following up because the response from Portfolio Recovery Associates ( PRA ) does not resolve my dispute. While PRA claims to have purchased the accounts and verified them through XXXX XXXX, they did not provide proper validation of the debt as required under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ). Stating that no request was received for validation does not justify their failure to provide it now that a dispute is active. Additionally : I do not recall receiving any initial notification letters from PRA on the dates they listed. I continue to dispute the accuracy of the amounts and ownership of the accounts. The lack of detailed account statements, signed agreements, or other supporting documents means PRA has not met the legal standard for verification. I respectfully request that this account be removed from my credit reports unless PRA can provide full, itemized documentation verifying that the debt is accurate and truly mine.
