To Whom It May Concern, This is an updated statement to supplement my original CFPB complaint ID XXXX against Bank of America regarding a {$5000.00} fraud involving impersonation, unauthorized credit card charges, and serious mishandling by the bank. The scam began when I called BoAs official helpline on XX/XX/year>. I was transferred to a woman calling herself XXXX XXXX, Head of Fraud Department ( ID XXXX ). She repeatedly contacted me and coerced me into authorizing what she called a test transaction. Two fraudulent charges of {$2500.00} each were processed to a hotel in XXXX while I was physically in XXXX, XXXX. I later contacted the hotel directly. They stated they had no record of any transaction in my name. Despite this, BoA : Misclassified the fraud as a billing dispute Denied my claim without disclosing any supporting documents Refused to reclassify the case despite clear evidence of impersonation and deception To make matters worse, I received additional scam calls on XX/XX/year> from XXXX XXXX, ID XXXX using numbers XXXX and XXXX, impersonating BoA and warning of fraud attempts. The voice was the same as XXXX XXXX. I reported this to XXXX, but no action has been taken by BoA. Over the past 18 months, I have been issued four replacement cards due to suspicious activity. This reflects serious internal security failures. I now keep all my cards locked and avoid using them due to these threats. As a XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX with XXXX XXXX XXXX, and with my wife also under treatment for XXXX XXXX, this mishandling has placed our health and peace of mind at serious risk.
