Terrible experience transferring out remaining amounts and closing account! On XX/XX/year>, I logged in around XXXX and tried to transfer out the remaining balance of ~ {$28.00} in my high yield savings account to my checking account at another bank. It was not even a large sum. I wanted to consolidated my bank accounts and had no longer used Marcus as it didn't have a physical location. For the first time, I see an error and couldn't transfer over the money and the error had told me to call. I panicked about the safety of my money and decided to close the account. After closing the account, the error showed that they couldn't transfer the remaining balance to my checking at the other bank. I did not even receive a email that my savings account has been closed. The error showed that I had to call their customer service number so I gave them a call. After confirming my various personal details to verify that I'm the account holder, the monitored line customer rep. transferred me to the survey. I don't even know where my money is now. There's no indication that it will be mailed to me like other banks do when I close my account. This is so scary to bank with Marcus. I had thought trusting Goldman Sachs would be reliable but even for ~ {$28.00}, they are stealing it from us customers that bank with them for so many years. I have been banking with them for XXXX years now. Give me my money back!
