XXXX XXXX posted an apartment on XXXX located at XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX NY XXXX for {$2000.00} a month. She asked me to fill out a short form with some of my contact information and then I was contacted by her " landlord '' XXXX XXXX. He had me fill out a sublease contract that looked pretty legitimate. He then asked me to XXXX for the first month 's rent and security deposit ( {$3000.00} total ) and gave me the XXXX information for XXXX XXXX or XXXX XXXX. He told me his secretary 's name was XXXX XXXX but she is registered on XXXX as XXXX XXXX. XXXX limited the transactions to {$500.00} per day so I sent this account XXXX separate transactions of {$500.00} on XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX. Neither Chase nor XXXX flagged this as suspicious activity and allowed the transactions to go through. He got impatient with this and attempted to get me to send him money via different methods including a wire to his XXXX XXXX account, XXXX XXXX XXXX 's XXXX account, and XXXX XXXX or XXXX XXXX 's XXXX account. He told me his friend 's name is XXXX XXXX but she is registered on XXXX as XXXX XXXX. XXXX would not let me send money to XXXX XXXX XXXX so I tried XXXX XXXX or XXXX XXXX 's XXXX account for the remaining balance of {$1500.00} and it went through. I'm not sure why Chase nor XXXX didn't limit me to the {$500.00} XXXX for new recipients this time. I'm also not sure why Chase nor XXXX flagged that the recipient 's name did not match their XXXX registered name. Neither Chase nor XXXX is taking any responsibility in protecting their customers from situations like this. XXXX then told me he would meet me at the apartment building on XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX. I arrived on time and he then told me he had a flat tire. He asked me to meet the next morning instead and then slowly stopped responding. I have screenshot evidence of all transactions and communication if needed.
