On XX/XX/year> my checking account showed two ( 2 ) withdrawals- one for {$200.00} and the other for {$300.00} through the app XXXX and my bank Citibank. I did not authorize or get a chance to accept/decline these withdrawals. I contacted the bank and originally my request to have the funds credited back to my account was denied. I had to pay to have my Laptop cleaned out, change to a new account, notify all my payees along with numerous trips to the bank for one problem or another caused by the above. I appealed Citibank 's decision and just a couple of days ago I received a letter letting me know they honored my request to reissue my funds. I would like to bring suit against the app XXXX and Citibank. They should have accurate " fire walls '' and protection for their clients against these scams, which no one is ever apprehended or caught. I'm still having to go to the bank because they deposited the returned funds to my closed account and my new account has its access blocked. I've tried calling the bank ( of course, they outsource their agents to a third world country ) several times for assistance in getting my account unblocked, but they will not help. I've had to do too much leg work and phone calls to even mention in this short amount of space. I am a XXXX XXXX and this is XXXX Abuse and had they not reversed their decision to refund it would have been slander, as I would look like the criminal. These businesses and " APPS '' need to change their way of doing business and step up their security.
