Consumer Narrative
Approximately one month ago, I was notified by Bank of America that they were closing my checking and savings account. These items did not appear any longer on my dashboard. I am not able to review the accounts see the deposits or subsequent withdrawals balance history, or receive a statement from the dashboard or from Bank of America. They have wiped all record of my account ever existing. There is nothing there. I have received emails from them stating that my account is overdrawn. I have received emails from them stating that they have they are providing me a monthly statement but when I click to open those email links, theres nothing there then my savings account reappeared on my dashboard this time with a negative balance because they charged me a monthly maintenance fee. They have subsequently charged me a second monthly maintenance fee yet I have no access to that account. I can not deposit nor withdrawal from that account. Also, my checking account does not show up on my dashboard. Theres no knowledge of it anywhere it doesnt exist if they have put my savings account for view on my dashboard why have they not returned my checking account for review they said its not closed that its in a status waiting for the negative balance to be paid. I have asked them to go over the deposit withdrawals with me because the account was overdrawn, however, there have been several credits made to the account one for over {$200.00}. I dont believe in good faith that they are providing me with all of the information I need with regards to the deposits that were made after the state, and I believe that there is a positive balance. Ive called them no less than three times to get this information from them and when I start asking detailed questions about my balance, they end the call the phone just drops three times not random. I want to know what the balance was on the day that they sent the account and what subsequent deposits have been made because I dont believe they are telling me about all of them. Id like to know why they close my account. I also want a summary of my account made available to me so I can see the deposits on my account after the center, which they are refusing to provideAnd even more so Id like to know why they did this with a person whos banked with him for 14 years. I mean the account is just not viewable. Its just vanished. How outrageous shame on your Bank of America.
