Synchrony Bank offers credit cards for specific retail chains. I have many retail cards from Synchrony. XXXX XXXX, TJX, HSN, PC Richard, XXXX XXXX....- just to name a few. They have started charging a {$1.00} fee to receive a paper statement. The audacity is just disgusting given the bank charges interest between 29.99 % to 34.99 %. Mailing a statement to a customer is the cost of doing business. They are more than making up for the inconvenience of sending a paper bank statement to a customer. I think it should be illegal to charge an additional fee for paper statements. The amount of debt in this country is ridiculous and this only makes it harder for consumers to remember or keep up with what they purchased the month before. I have talked to their customer service departments with no advisement available on what I can do to fight this. I've even called my attorney to file a class action and was told they can do what they want. That's obvious as interest rates on cards keep rising. I can get a better deal with a loan shark. The government needs to put a cap on these banks.
