In XX/XX/XXXX, I received a debt collection letter from IQ Data International Inc. regarding an alleged account. Within the 30-day window, I mailed a written dispute and formal debt validation request. On a later recorded call, their representative confirmed they received my letter and even read parts of it back to me yet I was never provided with any debt validation as required under 15 U.S.C. 1692g ( b ). Instead of complying, their representative was unprofessional, gaslighting me by insisting they werent obligated to send validation. They were rude, dismissive, and ultimately hung up on me after trying to pressure me into paying immediately, even though I repeatedly stated the debt was fraudulent and unverified. When I asked again for information about the debt, I was told they don't communicate over email and that they " already mailed validation '' which I never received. On XX/XX/XXXX, without ever validating the debt or responding meaningfully to my dispute, IQ Data reported the collection account to XXXX. This violates the FDCPA, as they were required to cease all collection and reporting activity until they verified the debt in writing. I then filed a dispute with XXXX, clearly explaining that no validation had ever been provided. Despite this, XXXX refused to remove the tradeline, apparently relying solely on IQ Datas unverified claim.
