I have made three payments totaling {$250.00} to the U.S. Dept of Education ( Debt Resolution Group ) in XXXX, XXXX, and XX/XX/XXXX to repay my defaulted student loans. Despite sending proof of these payments multiple times, they have not been credited to my loan balances. My consolidation and IDR applications have also been stuck in review for over 2 months, with no updates and no final resolution. I filed a CFPB complaint in XX/XX/XXXX. XXXX final response said they confirmed my {$100.00} and {$32.00} payments but that the Debt Resolution Group is responsible for the balance and default status. I sent a demand letter through myeddebt.ed.gov demanding my payments be applied, accurate interest calculated, and my loans removed from collections. They have not replied to me, and I have not received any updates. I also filed a complaint with the Montana State Attorney General and submitted a case to the Federal Student Aid Ombudsman. I have done everything correctly but can not get anyone to fix the issue. My loan balances continue to grow every day because interest is still being charged, even though my payments are not being applied. Because of the systems delays and refusal to apply my payments, I am stuck with a growing debt that I can never resolve. I am demanding that my {$250.00} in payments be credited immediately, that all interest growth from the date of my first payment in XX/XX/XXXX be stopped until my loans are corrected, and that my loans be removed from collections so I can pay the true owner directly and not the collection group. This situation has left me without closure and in permanent financial limbo.
