To Whom It May Concern, I am filing a formal complaint against Chase Bank USA due to their mishandling of a billing dispute and what appears to be unethical behavior during the process. On XXXX XXXX, I contacted Chase Bank to initiate a dispute for a partial amount of a transaction. However, instead of disputing the partial amount as requested, Chase went ahead and disputed the full amount. Upon realizing the mistake, I contacted Chase again and requested that they correct the dispute from partial to full amount. At that time, they informed me that I would need to wait 14 days before any modification could be made. Today, I contacted them again to follow up, and now they are telling me to call back tomorrow to make the changedelaying the process further without valid reason. This back-and-forth and inconsistent communication indicates either gross negligence or intentional misconduct. Furthermore, during this process, I have identified manipulation of transaction amounts, duplicate charges, and what can only be described as financial misconductpotentially for illicit profit. I believe this behavior warrants investigation. I request that : 1. The dispute process be reviewed and corrected immediately. 2. Chase Bank be investigated for possible double-charging and financial impropriety. 3. Appropriate regulatory action be taken to hold the institution accountable.
