Citi Bank has closed my account under the impression of their system generated fraud risk. I deposited a check in the amount XXXX to a ATM that was a legit cashier check from my father 's bank. The deposit went thru, however the bank has closed my account and let me know their system has label me as " FRAUD ''. The customer service is horrendous and are telling me that I now must wait 30-60 days for my account to be cleared and additional 7-10 days to receive a check in the mail after a rep called the depositing check bank to verify the check in which they verified it was authentic. My account was still deemed as fraud. I went to my bank branch in XXXX XXXX citi bank, and my banker let me know that I did nothing wrong and the system is mislabeling me as fraud and are letting me know citi bank will not release my funds. She then called their horrendous customer service line and told me the rep said my father must call in to verify he gave me the check via the check number. Citi bank had already verified yet they want my father to again. Calling customer service would result in hour long calls with no avail. I need assistance we recovering my money and make sure my complaint is heard against this evil bank.
