On XX/XX/year>, I received a notice from XXXX that my credit rating had changed from Exceptional to Good and my credit rating dropped from XXXX to to XXXX. Upon review of my file I found that SYNCB/PPC had XXXX off my account ( which had a perfect payment record ) in the amount of {$130.00}. I filed a dispute with XXXX on XX/XX/year> and then I if followed up with SYNCB/PPC a few days after that. I encountered terrible customer service from their call center and the agent told me that the account was charged off due to bankruptcy and nothing could be done. I informed them that I had not filed for bankruptcy and that this was inaccurate information, but the agent was very unhelpful and told me that her supervisor would say the same thing. After much back and forth she finally transferred me to their bankruptcy department. The person I spoke with in the bankruptcy department immediately told me that an error had been made and that my account we be reinstated. My complaint is that 1 ) This should have never happened and 2 ) The creditor should have had a better process to deal with it.
