On XX/XX/XXXX I contacted Citi 's XXXX office and spoke to XXXX about another complaint with the CFBP. Citibank lied on their response to that complaint, and stated my account was locked due to them needing personal information. It was not locked due to that, it was locked due to a mutual fund with a conservator that needed to be closed. XXXX first started to say that they would not tell the CFBP every reason my account was locked. I pointed out she didnt give any reason it was locked, she lied about it needing personal information when it was not locked for that. She demanded it was, and I asked what specific personal information it was missing the day it was locked that was then provided the day it was unlocked. She wasnt able to answer, and I pointed out that that was because there was none. They had gotten all of my personal information they needed at least a month before my account was locked, and when I called to unlock it they said it was locked due to that mutual fund issue. She then got irate and demanded to know if what I wanted was for citibank to admit they lied, and stated they would not provide that. I pointed out that lying to the CFPB is illegal, and the way they did so if fraudulent. XXXX then hung up on me. I called back and requested to talk to her supervisor. Citi said they would call me back, but never did.
