Consumer Narrative
b"Because of XXXX XXXX XXXX acquiring my local XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX created overlapping billing cycles, where the XXXX XXXX billing cycle was 55 days long because XXXX XXXX XXXX, along with their visa credit card servicing company, Elan Financial Services (EFS), failed to produce any XXXX XXXX Visa Credit Card statement, thereby overbilling me by duplicating periods I'd already paid for. I paid the 4 monthly payments for XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX that EFS asked for and accepted. Now they want XXXX again. Resulting in EFS asking for money that I already paid. I explained the details of the overbilling; they agreed that their next payment amount is wrong; then refused to correct it. EFS threatened me with fees if I didn't pay the incorrect amount. They want XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX They acknowledge thaXXXX XXXX is the correct amount, but refuse to correct it. I told EFS that I refuse to pay the incorrect XXXX amount and that I also won't pay the correct $XXXX since they told me that if I did pay the correct amount, they will charge a fee for doing that. I again demanded a corrected statement; they again refused to provide that. I told them that if they persisted with those circumstances, I would pay nothing. They told me that they don't care, and that would consider the account in default. The balance of the account is XXXX It appears to be an attempt to have former customers of the bank they acquired, XXXX XXXX help pay for the Acquisition costs incurred by XXXX XXXX XXXXEFS. Whatever the reason is behind the overbilling, it's still wrong to overbill for billing cycles already paid for. XXXX XXXX XXXX credit card account numbeXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX
