I have multiple purchases Ive used my Care Credit credit card to pay for and they all have promotional deadlines where interest is usually waived if I pay it off by the deadline. I have been making payments to pay these off by the deadline, however Synchrony Bank appears to apply my payments in an arbitrary way ( instead of oldest debt first ), leaving me unable to actually meet the deadlines. For example : my newest charge made in XX/XX/year> for {$3800.00} has {$600.00} left to be paid, however my {$700.00} charge from XX/XX/year> is still outstanding with the full {$700.00} left to pay by XXXX before very high ( 30 % ) interest starts accruing. Synchrony should be applying payments to the oldest debts. I called and asked to apply my payments to specific debts to try to counter this but they wont let me.
