In XXXX of XXXX a hurricane hit my area causing some damages to my home. I am a mail carrier as well an due to this hurricane my hours were cut and income decreased significantly causing me to get behind on my mortgage. Also, due to the weather I contracted XXXX during this same month. I contacted SPS servicing an explained to them my situation ; they offered me a 3 month forbearance on my account and stated that once the forbearance was over I would be able to apply for mortgage assistance were they would take the past due toward the backend of my loan giving me a partial claim. I reached out to them close to the end of my forbearance period for mortgage assistance and provided all requested documentation, only to be denied instantly. Most recent I applied for mortgage assistance on XX/XX/XXXX. I called the mortgage company on XX/XX/XXXX they advised my paperwork was received on XXXX XXXX and also denied the assistance on the exact same day XXXX XXXX. This tells me they never gave me a proper review for mortgage assistance again. When I requested the Denial letter with the specific reasons, they sent me a denial letter without the specific reason to allow me to appeal the denial decision. During my time of review SPS issued me a foreclosure date which is in violation of the CFPB dual tracking of foreclosure guidelines. During this time of requesting mortgage help, they never assigned nor was I directed to a point of contact to explain my situation.
