I answered a call last night ( XXXX ) and he stated he was from credit card services. He had my social security number, my birth date, my credit report with all my credit card debt. He stated that someone was trying to take out new cc and loans in my name. The cc he was most interested in was my Citi bank. He said someone was trying to use it and needed my exp. date and CVV number which I did not give. Needed to stop the fraud. I told him I was going to call Citi bank and take care of this and told him I'd call him back and hung up. Called my cc and had not been hacked, but let them know what was going on. Did not call number back until this morning and phone number lead nowhere. I have put fraud alerts and froze my credit reports.I will be contacting Identity theft and SS and IRS. I have been watching my accounts and looked at credit report. So far nothing. Thank you XXXX! I don't know what else to do. Just wanted to report this. My laptop was hacked last week. I took it in and had it fixed. The guys name ( XXXX XXXX or XXXX ) I know its fake. The phone number he called from is XXXX. Oh, and he tried calling me back several times, hung up on him. I was on phone to cc. If there is anything I need to do please let me know. Also wanted to let other people know. Thank you for your time.
