Consumer Narrative

I had a 15 month Balance Transfer ( XXXX ) at 0 % though XX/XX/XXXX with a balance of {$6000.00} noted on my statement dated XX/XX/XXXX. In XXXX, I made a large purchase in excess of $ XXXX on this card knowing that I would be charged interest immediately on purchases from thr day the purchase posted. I am not contesting this as this is a normal part of any card agreement. I am contrsting the fact that I immediately paid off that purchase within the month of XXXX, XXXX and the payment, after the minimum due was satisfied, was allocated to my balance transfer balance thus wiping it out and leaving the remaining balance of {$7000.00} at my higher, purchase rate on my statement dated XX/XX/XXXX. I have been accruing interest on the remaining balance since. This is in direct violation of my card agreement part XXXX and the CARD Act. I contacted USAA once I flnoticed the error in XXXX XX/XX/XXXX and they gave me conditional credits for the finance charges. However, I recieved a call a few days later and was told they were in compliance with the card agreement in which I veimiently disagreed. The refused to correct the situation and have since taken the conditional credits away. My biggest concern is if this is happening to me, how many other customers are they doing this to? Additionally, how long has it been going on? Payment allocation has been in effect since XXXX and it's a simple law to follow. I think USAA is putting profits over the constructs made very clear the law and needs to be held accountable.
