Consumer Narrative
To whom it may concern, Here we go again with the people at Marcus by Goldman Sachs! I'm contacting you to make you aware of the fact, that the above mentioned, has again committed the same blatantly obvious error that they committed in my 1st complaint!... Please know, that my original complaint, ( XXXX ), that was filed on XX/XX/XXXX, was withdrawn on XX/XX/XXXX, in favor of this complaint to reflect new updated information regarding the initial complaint. That being that they added the ( 1 ) credit amount of - {$39.00}, reflected on my last statement, and issued by XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX to my total amount owed. I don't know why they keep doing such things, but sure wish this nonsense would stop! On Page 4 of my statement, it clearly states, " Total charges, credits and returns for this period '' and after this is the amount of {$700.00}. Yet for reasons unknown to me, the credit amount of - {$39.00} that was issued, was erroneously added to my total bill amount owed again. They're showing the total amount owed as being {$740.00}, when in actuality, the correct amount should be {$700.00}. Also, please know that in all the years I've had my XXXX, a total of ( XXXX ) years, I have never, ever had any problems with it. Until now that is! My credit rating over the years, " XXXX '' score, etc., couldn't be any higher or better than it is. Absolutely, 100 % flawless as in perfect. Don't believe me, go look for yourself. I've never been in debt and always pay my bills on time and always in " Full. '' Never have I made any partial or minimum payments. Besides taking more money out of my XXXX checking account than they're suppose to, ( I'm set up with auto. payment with them ), they have since sent me a letter saying that they were going to suspend my spending privileges until I take care of my debt I owe them. Are you people serious? You took the amount of money I owed you for the statement in question here, ( this was regarding my 1st complaint I filed against these people, which since has been withdrawn by me ), out of my XXXX checking account. You've been doing so ever since you took over for the competent people at XXXX XXXX. I have proof, just like I'm sure you do, to substantiate this. When you people refused to take care of the error you committed on my GM Mastercard account, you kept saying over and over again, that there was no error committed by you, I finally made up my mind to take this matter one step further. I went to the XXXXXXXX XXXX I do business with and spoke to the branch manager. I explained everything in explicit detail to her and after a long discussion, she assured me that XXXX XXXX was now going to open up an investigation. When I got home later that day, I balanced my checkbook, reliant upon my personal XXXX checking account info. on-line, and noticed that they had apparently done a " Reversal '' of the GMCARD GS BANK PAYMENT in the amount of {$260.00} on XX/XX/XXXX. I never disputed the full amount of {$260.00}, but rather just the ( 2 ) credits in the amount of {$3.00} and {$17.00}, totaling {$20.00}. Nothing more, nothing less. What XXXXXXXX XXXX did on my behalf, was never authorized by me. I was simply hoping that they would put the amount owed me, {$20.00}, rightfully back into my account where it belonged. Apparently since an investigation was initiated, XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX protocol would not allow them to reverse only the amount that was being disputed, which was {$20.00}. Therefore, the full amount of {$260.00} which you people had already taken out of my checking account, was reversed and put back into my checking account. I would imagine this was done pending the final outcome/result of the investigation. Now to make things even more unpleasant for me, Marcus By Goldman Sachs, threatened to report me to the credit reporting agencies. Simply, unreal! What did I ever do to deserve any of this nonsense? I'll be providing attachments at the conclusion of this complaint as evidence. Getting back now to my complaint here, there was an " ACH payment made in the amount of - {$41.00} '' on XX/XX/XXXX. That money they took out of my account, still goes left unanswered. I never made a purchase in the amount nor any purchase ( s ) that would have ended up totaling that amount. When I spoke to one of their customer service representatives regarding this, the gentleman told me he had no idea, no clue. Simply ridiculous! Oh yeah, I almost forgot to mention that ever since they put my account on temporary hold, the amount they claim I owe them, has been accruing late payment and interest fees daily and they even took {$29.00}, ( minimum payment amount required ) from me. Luckily for me, I have had the pleasure of dealing with at least one nice supervisor at Marcus By Goldman Sachs, named XXXX, who apologized for all the nonsense I have had to suffer through already, and was kind enough to reverse the late payment fee, interest and delinquent fee amounts that had already been assessed against my account. Also, please know to add insult to injury, these people emailed me recently to let me know I've been enrolled in the Customer Assistance Program for my GM Card. Some consolation, huh? They claim that I will not be charged any interest or fees while enrolled in this program. WOW! How nice of you to offer to do this for me... ..BREAKING NEWS! ... .PLEASE MAKE SURE TO LOOK AT MY FIRST ATTACHMENT ( 1 ), WHICH IS AN ARTICLE I OBTAINED ON GOOGLE ABOUT YOUR MISHANDLING OF CREDITS ISSUED TO PEOPLE ON THEIR GM MASTERCARDS! XXXX!! ... P.S.- Per your last customer service supervisor I spoke to a couple of weeks ago, I was advised to send a brief letter along with proof/evidence, substantiating my problem you people had created for me. I have since done that with no response!!!
