During COVID I setup automatic payments with US Bank on my loans over the phone ( kind of incredible that a company this size did not have the option to setup automatic payments on their website ), and in that process they did not collect the first month payment. I was not notified except when I was told it was past 30 days late. I have had loans since I was XXXX and I am XXXX now, this is the ONLY payment in my entire life that has been late. I contacted the company 3 times to ask for the late payment to be removed and they did not do it even though it was their fault in not setting up the automatic payments correctly. Even worse, this was during the peak of COVID when this same bank was allowing people to completely miss making payments on their loans. Yet I continued to make payments and they had the nerve to do this to me. I feel worthless when trying to talk to a company this big. Banks should have been broken up after XXXX so we could get some service. Humans not robots!
