For the quarter XXXXXXXX XXXX I selected home utilities as one of my two 5 % reward categories for my USBank XXXX XXXX. In fact I paid my home utilities using this card, which caused me to incur transaction fees on each utility 's payment website. Because the transaction fees were less than 5 % for each payment, I thought it worthwhile to use this card. Pursuant to USBank marketing and promises, every home utility payment I made using my XXXX XXXX should have incurred 5 % cashback as a reward, which would offset the transaction fees. However, USBank assigned my home utility payments only the default 1 % cashback. Hence I lost money using this card to pay my home utilities. On XX/XX/year>XXXX I contacted USBank to request posting of the earned 5 % rewards. The representative I communicated with did not know why the 5 % rewards had not posted, and promised that the " research team '' would get back to me. USBank then sent me a letter declining to post the missing rewards.
