Consumer Narrative
XXXX XXXX To whom it may concern, On XX/XX/XXXX my mother went to put me on as beneficiary of her accounts. At the same time she was attempting to do a personal loan. XXXX of the conditions of the personal loan was she had to apply for a credit card. The individual my mother was working with is XXXX XXXX and she still had my information up and instead of applying for a credit card for my mother- she applied for myself. I had received some alerts that my credit had been run, however I didnt think much about it as I too was currently doing a personal loan. Once I looked closer I noticed it was US Bank and asked my mother about this. We both thought this was super strange as she just put me as a beneficiary on her accounts. She called the bank the next day after this conversation and XXXX called me the same day when she realized her error. I also work for a bank and I have worked very hard on improving my credit. If I switch jobs they will run my credit again and I will have to explain any inquiries. On XX/XX/XXXX XXXX told me I needed to sign a form- I believe it was shortly before XXXX I went to the bank and completed the form directly. On XX/XX/XXXX I checked in to see the status of the credit inquiry dispute and XXXX communicated she submitted the form and an investigation would be conducted to determine if the credit inquiry would be removed. I asked her on XX/XX/XXXX to escalate this to her manager who is XXXX. XXXX called me and communicated it could be a couple of cycles before this is removed. I let her know I understand mistakes happen however I received the credit card and a statement in the mail. This same day XXXX had communicated I would have to call to close the card. I called XXXX and spoke with XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX who communicated she was not able to close the card either. The same day I received mail from the XXXX postal service that I need to return the card back to them. ( I will attach ) however previously I was told to destroy the card. That communication also stated they completed the request to close my account. An account I NEVER requested. I requested that XXXX and XXXX both keep me updated on the progress of the credit inquiry due to their error and I feel as if Ive been the only one reaching out trying to get this resolved. At this point the time Ive put into this ( Im now at a library tying this up and spending money making copies etc ) US Bank owes me for the time, calls and frustration. I make {$31.00} per hour and would expect at least XXXX hours of my wages for this frustration. Id like confirmation that the account has been closed AND that the credit inquiry has been removed from my credit report. Thank you for your understanding in this matter and I look for an update very soon as now its been over 2 months. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX
