I closed my Citi card account in XXXX XXXX and received an email confirmation of account closure from Citi. Somehow the account was reopened and new cards mailed to unknown recipient. Called several times to close but had same outcome : closed account keeps fraudulently reopen. The most recent call to Citi fraud department was XX/XX/XXXX to once again close the account. Then again it reopened on the same day, with a new card being mailed to unknown recipient. I know this because Citi emailed that a card is being mailed. Just called fraud again to cancel card and closed the account permanently again. I am experiencing this countless times : I call to close the account permanently, but eventually someone reopens it. I am spending numerous hours on the phoneover XXXX hourswith Citi fraud department. The fraud department keeps reassuring me that no one can reopen, even emailed confirmation of account closure ( screenshots attached ) but someone keeps reopening my account after I closed it numerous times. HELP.
