My XXXX daughter received a {$100.00} gift card from XXXX for XXXX. When I removed the strip from the back of the card ( per XXXX instructions ) to reveal the gift card number and pin the sticker pulled off all the numbers. I phoned XXXX to discuss and was told I needed to email them proof of purchase and without a receipt there is nothing they can do and the value is lost. We were not provided with a receipt as it was a gift. When I pointed out that XXXX is selling faulty gift cards and pocketing the value they told me there is nothing they can do. There are many other numbers on the back of the card that they should use to track the card, but they refuse to assist and instead steal the funds. XXXX is familiar with this issue, knows it happens and is doing nothing to protect customers.
