Our homeowner 's insurance through XXXX XXXX XXXX was due on XX/XX/XXXX. Our mortgage and escrow is through Chase. Chase has always paid at the beginning of XXXX. I received a notice at the beginning of XXXX notifying me of non-payment and the insurance will be cancelled. Unfortunately, due to my being in the hospital and recovering at home, I did not open this letter until after business XX/XX/XXXX. I was mortified to learn my homeowner 's policy has been cancelled. Upon review, it appears that Chase made a payment on XX/XX/XXXX, the last day a payment would be accepted. It appears that the payment was returned by XXXX XXXX for unclear reasons, and the policy was then cancelled. I am wondering why Chase did not pay on the due date. I have a letter from XXXX XXXX stating they requested the funds from Chase dated at the beginning of XXXX of XXXX. I need my policy to be reinstated and for Chase to take responsibility for dropping the ball. I have reached out with no response at this time.
