Consumer Narrative
On XX/XX/XXXX I spent XXXX minutes ( much of it on hold waiting for an operator ) on the phone complaining to XXXX XXXX over their negligence handling a claim and informed them I wished to cancel. On XX/XX/XXXX I called XXXX XXXX. I spent 1 hour and 2 minutes ( at least XXXX minutes on hold ) on the phone with XXXX XXXX trying to get help over a claim they had given me misinformation over and again told them to make sure my insurance was canceled. XXXX XX/XX/XXXX I followed up with an email reminding them again to cancel and putting it in writing to be safe, clearly letting them know I was done with their insurance and they did not have permission to charge my bank card. On XX/XX/XXXX They confirmed they had received my email. On XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX again charged my card for {$22.00}. On XX/XX/XXXX I filed a complaint with the XXXX XXXX over my dissatisfaction with how XXXX XXXX had given me misinformation over a claim and their extended delay in clarifying the issue. On XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX again charged my card for {$22.00} On XX/XX/XXXX I called XXXX XXXX demanding they stop charging my card and asking that they please refund the charges back until XXXX. The lady found my request in the system to cancel and said that she would see if she could get permission to refund those charges. She said she would call me back the next day and never did. On XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX again charged my card for {$22.00} On XXXX I followed up with my complaint to the Insurance Board about XXXX XXXX continued to charge my card after I had continually tried to cancel and told them not to. On XX/XX/XXXX I emailed XXXX XXXX again demanding they stop charging my card. On XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX again charged my card for {$22.00} On XX/XX/XXXX XXXX from XXXX XXXX emailed me claiming they had tried to call me on XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX to discuss the cancelation of my insurance. Yet my phone bill shows no such incoming calls to my number on those dates or any other dates from XXXX XXXX Nor a voicemail left. I found it extremely shady that they needed to call me to discuss me being allowed to cancel my business insurance when I am not in any kind of contract to keep their service if I dont want it. XXXX tried to force me to sign away my right to sue them for negligence and bad business practice in exchange for refunding the amounts they had been billing me without my consent since XXXX when I had stated that I wanted to cancel my insurance and I had revoked their authorization to bill my card. I replied to XXXX, absolutely not. They were charging my card without my authorization and I was not going to agree to sign away my rights to sue for damage they caused to my business through providing me incorrect information on my coverage for a claim and refusing to return my phone calls for help over over 31 days. On XX/XX/XXXX I called Chase asking them for help with these unauthorized charges from XXXX XXXX and disputed them. XXXX XXXX then promptly sent out a letter stating my insurance would end on XX/XX/XXXX and fought the chargeback. ON XX/XX/XXXX Chase reversed all my disputed charges from XXXX with XXXX XXXX without even requesting any kind of proof that what I have been stating is the truth. And this caused my car payment not to go through.
