Consumer Narrative
My loans are currently under forbearance due to the SAVE litigation. In XXXX of XXXX I submitted an application to switch my loans into an IBR plan. Per the FSA 's guidance, and discussions with FSA customer service representative, my loans should have been placed into a processing forbearance for at least 60 days while my application is processed. MOHELA, however, has informed me and other borrowers, incorrectly, that they are forbidden by the FSA from processing IBR applications for persons currently under a general forbearance due to the SAVE litigation, and are further prohibited by the FSA from placing such applicants into a processing forbearance.
