Regarding my complaint XXXX to which you responded. There was no information included regarding how the interest charges affected my balance transfer status & what steps you could take to correct them. I specifically mentioned several times my concerns & questions regarding how my current balance transfer amount had been affected. Regarding your customer service, it was subpar, causing me to spend a considerable amount of my time wasted, calling, being placed on hold, & being transferred to other customer service reps, none of whom could answer my questions or assist me. Had your customer service reps been competent, an explanation regarding " any use of the card will incur interest charges from date of purchase until purchases are paid in full '' given at the point in time of my initial call, this would have prevented this whole fiasco. Instead of being informed that any regular purchases with the card would incur interest from the date of purchase until paid in full, as opposed to the regular credit card scenario where interest is charged when the full payment is late, I was misled by your representative & told " there is a glitch in the system ''. Had I known this early on, I would have ceased to use your card for regular purchases at all ; instead I continued using it, unknowingly & without correct explanations from your representatives, continued creating these interest charges. I most certainly will no longer use your Citi XXXX card for regular purchases, I will definitely inform any of my family, friends & colleages of your customer service incompetence & will be cancelling this account as soon as the balance transfer has been paid offl.
