On XX/XX/year>, this XXXX bank told me they were closing the account an gave me a confirmation number for the closure. XXXX XXXX XXXX # XXXX. There was a {$53.00} balance and I was told a check would be mailed to me. I never received a check after over 3 weeks. I called in again on XX/XX/year> and asked them why I haven't received a check for my {$53.00} and was told they hadn't closed my account. I said, I have a close confirmation so why is that? They made up some excuse. Now when I try to close it they are giving me the runaround. They are going to charge me another monthly fee in XXXX despite having told me the account was closed in XXXX!
