Bank of America violated the federal TIL with incorrectly handling of a billing error. According to the Truth in Lending, Regulation Z ( 1026.13 ) the section about Billing error resolution, Bank of America is penalizing me for their mistake. Part a-4 mentions that an error includes " the creditor 's failure to credit properly a payment or other credit issued to the consumer 's account. '' Bank of America did this because I have had automatic payments set up since I created the account, and one month they did not apply the payment due to an error in their system Part c mentions that the bank needs to resolve this within 2 billing cycles, which they did not. I had to manually call in and apply a payment. Part d and g mentions that negative credit reporting related to this is not allowed : " The creditor shall not make an adverse report that an amount or account is delinquent...
