On XX/XX/XXXX I noticed that {$1600.00} was withdrawn from my account at Bank of America which I had no knowledge of. I contacted the bank and they told me it was wire transferred, which I did not do. They then sent me a " SCAM Victim Acknowledgement '' form to fill out. The form also gave me a XXXX client number of XXXX. I submitted the form on XX/XX/XXXX by email as the form instructed. I than followed up on XX/XX/XXXX to find out the status of my claim. I was told it was still being looked into. I then contacted the bank again on XX/XX/XXXX to get another status update. I was then told ( by XXXX at the call center ) on that call that the funds were not able to be recovered and I could get a lawyer if I wanted to go further. Previously to me submitting this complaint to you I originally filed a complaint with the FDIC on XX/XX/XXXX. They replied back that my complaint and said it should be filed with XXXX and they would forward it on to you. I wanted to file a complaint with you directly so it was on record. I attached copy of complaint and correspondence with FDIC. Thank you
