XX/XX/XXXX got a preapproval letter from CHASE BANK for $ XXXX and a credit score of XXXX. Went under contract. Sent every doc they needed : 2 years taxes, bank statements, property taxes, everything! Everything went smooth. Day 10, we tried contacting our loan officer XXXX XXXX. Over 15 calls, emails, and texts. On day 14 she responded and told me I was denied based on 2 years of taxes showing a loss. I explained that I made $ XXXX in XXXX so I was confused, and I'm on track for another successful year in XXXX. XXXX I showed a loss for a remodel on my rental, which is now generating a great income. She didn't want to explain anything. I called my accountant, and he also said I showed a large profit in XXXX, and I had him send me the taxes he sent to her to look myself. We were right, I showed a profit for XXXX, and a small loss in XXXX. I have no other debts. None of this makes sense. I asked her if I could have a co-signer and if that would work, and she flat out said no, they won't loan us money no matter what. I have sense asked for reasoning, messaged her manager XXXX, emailed her, text her, and she hasn't responded to anything. I deserve some sort of answer. I did find a new lender the next day, with no issues on my income, but now the interest rate is much higher since we were 16 days later. I was locked in at 6.8 %, and now looking at 7.4 % which is the best rate today. I want answers, I feel I was 100 % discriminated against for my age.
