I was previously paying {$370.00} a month on my student loans to XXXX, which were transferred to Aidvantage in XXXX. In XXXX I changed my auto-pay payment method from withdrawing from my personal savings account to withdrawing {$350.00}, the required payment, from my spouse and my joint savings account. Immediately my interest rate, which had been 6.125 % while on autopay for consolidated loans, went up to 6.375 %. Simply switching which account I pay from shouldn't cause an increase in interest rate. I already think this account is overcharging me in interest. I would appreciate if the CFPB would look into this because Aidvantage is being sketchy.
