We applied for a loan in XXXX of XXXX and found that my husband could not obtain a loan due to a low credit score. From there we found out that there were 2 credit cards fraudulently taken out in his name in XXXX using a previous address and his SS # where we have not lived at since XXXX. When he called the credit card company, JPMorgan Chase Bank, to find information about the credit cards he was unable to get any information since he did not have answers to the security questions, ( because he did open up these accounts ) & an incorrect phone #. All they had was a previous address and his SS #. After talking to several people at JPMorgan they were able to change the address on the credit cards to our current address and then sent us copies of the statements. He was told that on the 1st credit card there were numerous charges made at XXXX for cash advances totaling over {$43000.00} in XXXX, PA. Then on the 2nd credit card there was over {$3000.00} of charges for cash advances at a XXXX XXXX XXXX , TX . We have never been to either cities to have been able to make those charges. Since we haven't lived at the XXXX address for over 19 years we never received any statements from JPMorgan Chase of the fraudulent accounts.. On XX/XX/XXXX we gave a copy of the statements to a XXXX County Sheriff police officer along with our statement of what happened and are still waiting for the report to be completed. But due to a large overload of cases the report has not been processed yet. We have submitted a request for the status of the report from XXXX County on XX/XX/XXXX but still have not heard back. We now received a statement from a XXXX XXXX XXXX for collection of the money. We have not payed any money yet and will be disputing all of the debt with the collection agency.
