I have been a Bank of America customer for XXXX XXXX. I am trying to sell my car. I was text messages through an app from a buyer who offered XXXX XXXX. I accepted. He sent a check saying it was cashiers check. I deposited the check. It cleared, he asked me to send XXXX XXXX into someone to come pick up the car. I wired the money. Then he said there was an emergency and asked me to wire him money. I called my bank immediately and asked the wire transfer be stopped, it was still showing on hold and my bank didnt do anything to help me. I asked them to report the bad check and scheme again and they said they could not report the check as fraudulent.
