On the morning of XXXX I was informed through my banking app, that a new credit inquiry had been done with Capital One. I have not/nor have I every opened an account / credit card with Capital One. This to me seemed as textbook fraudulent activity with my information. The Date of Inquiry said XXXX Location : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Requested on : XXXX Phone : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX Inquiry Type : Individual I tried to speak with some of the representatives with Capital One to get some assistance and report this fraudulent activity, but was pulled back and forth like seven different times through various departments and people, at one point I was even told that whatever card was procured, had already been mailed out and the application completed. I requested a copy of all their documents so that I could submit, but was not provided with said copies. I am very upset with what happened, this inquiry affected my credit score.
