I received a letter from DoE, during XXXX of XXXX stating that I was part of a group discharge. I was told I did not need to make anymore payments and my loans would be placed on forbearance. To date I have not received a single bit of information from the DoE or Nelnet ( Servicer ) updating or moving forward with the discharge. My loans have not been placed on forbearance and I continue to make payments to date, because I am told by Nelnet, that if I do, it may be reported. They can not tell me for sure if this will be a problem or not. I have made several calls to DoE and Nelnet, only to be given the run around. They finger point and say I should call each other. DoE says to call Nelnet, Nelnet says to call DoE. I am looking for an explanation why this debt is still being reported on my accounts and credit reports.
