To Whom It May Concern : Upon reviewing my credit report, I noticed discrepancies on my credit report section. 15 U.s. 6802 code : Obligation of respect to disclosure of personal information - A financial institution may not disclose nonpublic personal information to a nonaffiliated third party unless such financial institutions provides or has provided a notice that complies with section 6803. 15 U.S. Code 1681b - Permissible purposes of consumer reports- any consumer reporting agency may furnish a consumer report under the following circumstances and no other. B ( 2 ) in accordance with the written instructions of the consumer to whom it relates. I never gave them any written instructions to furnish anything on my consumer report so they are in direct violation of 15 U.S. Code 1681b 4 ) 18 U.S. Code 1028A - Aggravated Identity theft- also known as the Aggravated Identity Theft statute, prohibits the use of another person 's identifying information without their permission in certain circumstances. Felony violations-If someone knowingly uses, possesses, or transfers another person 's identification in relation to a felony, they may be sentenced to an additional two years in prison in addition to any punishment for the felony. Prohibited acts The statute prohibits the use of identifying information in connection with certain federal offenses and terrorism offenses.
