I purchased XXXX items in Banana republic store using Barclays banana republic credit card. I went to the store in XXXX XXXX, CA to return these items on XX/XX/XXXX within 30 day of purchase. The store was unable to process the return due to credit card technical issues ( per store manager ). I called credit card from the store. After talking to customer service rep and store manager, I was advised by card service rep to leave items in the store and she will open the dispute. ( she confirmed with store manager that I left the items ). As of today, credit card closed the dispute twice, stating lack of evidence and too late to reopen the case. ( cc manager asked me to send letter and prove of return and promised to personally investigate the case. Yesterday Ive learned the case was closed again and I have to pay {$1500.00} ( charge for XXXX items plus now late fees ). I went to the store ( XXXX XXXX XXXX each way for me ) and they promised to follow up on their side, however the credit card representative stated the case is closed and nothing can be done. I am waiting for credit card manager to call me, however I dont believe anyone wants to investigate and resolve this, ultimately making me at fault for their incompetence.
