On XX/XX/year> I received a Barclays JetBlue credit card in the mail that I did not apply for. I immediately called the telephone number to report this and was told that they had closed the account down for fraud and reported it to their security investigation unit and labeled it as fraudulent they said that the account was closed and I should get a letter from the investigator, anywhere between XXXX days up to XXXX weeks I didnt receive another letter, but they assured me at the time that the account was closed. They did not say if the account was used if there was a balance nothing I did not receive any other communication from Barclays then I received a letter which is dated XX/XX/XXXX that I had enrolled in paperless statements which I did not because to my knowledge the account was closed, I called immediately and was told that they did complete an investigation and it Was determined that it was not a fraudulent account and that the card was used in XXXX for a flight. They would not give me any further information they said they would open it back up to the investigators, which is obviously not a resolution. I was victim of identity theft that I had no idea was even transpiring. This was one of three attempts to open a credit card. I had put fraud alerts on my credit after this happened in XXXX I also received a letter from a health insurance company that I was part of a breach back in XXXX that I assume maybe was where my information was sold to try to open these accounts but Barclays did not to my knowledge did not close my account if Im still getting correspondence in regards to this account I want to ensure that this is in fact flagged as a fraudulent account. I want all if any balances or reporting that were made on my credit report removed because it was fraud, and I want everything in writing from Barclays. In my opinion, it should be easy to identify it. It was not me who opened the account because I clearly did not fly anywhere on the dates theyre saying, and I dont understand how that wouldnt be something that would be easy to investigate, whereas you cant fly without identification, and I can prove where I have been and I know for a fact, I was not on a flights During the time theyre saying have I flown JetBlue recently
